WASHINGTON, D.C.—After catching up on the latest season of America, Senator Cory Booker held a press conference Tuesday to give his take on the show’s recent developments, calling the plot “increasingly unbelievable” and “frankly, a little exhausting.”
“I binged the latest episodes this weekend, and I have to say, this season is all over the place,” Booker said, in front of legislators. “The pacing is completely unhinged—one moment it’s a tense political thriller, the next it’s full-blown dystopian chaos. And I’m sorry, but the writers really expect us to believe that subplot about a convicted felon running for president? Come on.”
Booker, who has been an avid follower of America since birth, expressed concern that the showrunners were relying too much on shock value rather than character development. “They keep bringing back old characters no one wanted to see again, and somehow they have even more screen time than before. Meanwhile, beloved side characters with actual integrity just disappear without any real explanation. It’s like the writers forgot about them!”
The senator also criticized the show’s handling of certain narratives, pointing out that its treatment of economic inequality and climate change felt like unresolved storylines. “The stakes keep getting higher, but instead of satisfying resolutions, they just introduce even more absurd conflicts. It’s almost like the showrunners are trying to stress the audience out on purpose.”
Booker admitted there were still moments that made watching worthwhile. However, he warned that unless the show corrected its course, it risked alienating its core fanbase. “At this point, I’m just hoping for a midseason turnaround, because right now, it feels like they’re throwing ideas at the wall to see what sticks.”
